N55 T51R Turbocharger Modification

Turn up the sound of your N55 turbocharger with the DaddyTurbos T51R Modification.

This modification is designed to dramatically increase turbocharger compressor noise, giving your BMW the aggressive sound associated with a large top-mount turbo or turbo-diesel-style spool and whistle.

For the best sound, we strongly recommend an aftermarket turbo inlet. OEM inlet pipes are designed to reduce compressor noise, which can partially counteract the effect of the T51R modification.

🛠️ Send-In Service

This modification requires you to send your turbocharger compressor housing to DaddyTurbos.

Your housing will be permanently machined with the T51R modification and returned to you.

Shipping instructions and our shipping address will be provided with your order confirmation email.

🔄 Core Housing Option

Need a replacement housing so you don’t have to remove yours first?

Select the Provided Housing option and DaddyTurbos will source a housing for the modification.

A $300 core deposit is included with the core option.

Core Deposit Refund

Return your original OEM core within 30 days of receiving your T51R-modified housing and your $300 core deposit will be refunded.

Failure to return the core within the 30-day period forfeits the $300 core deposit.

⚙️ Hybrid Turbo Compatibility

The T51R modification is also available for select N55 hybrid turbochargers.

Currently Supported Hybrids:

• Vargas VTT Stage 1
• Pure500
